The girls up in room 12 wrote fantastic Christmas limericks this week and did such a great job designing them, maith sibh!! 👏 We’ve had a great time over the past couple of weeks creating dances and short dramas in our pods. The virtual pantomime was also a huge hit, such a treat!! 😊
Here are lots of interesting and useful websites for you to explore. Remember to write the information in your OWN words!! You must have between 5-8 facts. I have also included the video which we have already watched in class. 😊

As part of science week, choose one of these scientists, and in your OWN words, write 4-8 facts on him/her. Then create 3 questions based on those facts. You can get your information from a book or an online source such as the websites below.
Scientists to choose from; Albert Einstein, Alexander Bell, Rachel Carson, Marie Curie, Thomas Edison, Isaac Newton, Galileo.
Here are some optional at home science experiments; 🧪😊
This week is Science Week and we have been looking at what exactly science means and the different sciences there are. Today, we carried out a blubber experiment in class to go with our topic on the Antarctica. We asked our question and then we carried out an investigation to answer the question, making sure that it was a fair test. We also wrote this experiment up in our copies, just like real scientists! 🧪🧫👩🔬🥼
There are some fun and interesting experiments up on the Seesaw for you try out at home this week and I would love to see a photo or video of it. 😊
The cailíní in Room 12 had lots of fun creating their maths week door, it looks super!! Maith sibh a chailíní!!
Check out their brilliant costumes for Halloween!! They had a great time on their walk! 🎃👻🦇
Hi cailíní 😊
Sadly we have come to the end of our school year, time really does fly!! I have truly loved getting to know each and every one of you! Your motivation, creativity and work ethic has been very impressive and I am so so proud of you!! You have all been an absolute pleasure to teach!! Thank you so much for sharing some of your fantastic work with me and I would love to see some more of your creativity this week on Seesaw. 🎭🎨🕺🤸♀️
Below are some fun games and activities under the different subjects for you to explore during the week. You don’t have to do the activities on the specific days that I’ve set them on, do what suits you!😊 On Friday, I will have an end of year special message for you, so please stay posted!! 😁
Have a super last week!! Fingers crossed the sun pops out (and stays out) ☀😎🌷🌻🌼🌹🌸
See links to yoga and dance on the school document above and also on Seesaw. 🧘♂️🕺
So this week we would have been going on our school tour, but instead we’re doing the next best thing and giving you a variety of virtual tours for you to explore. My personal favourite is the Dublin Zoo virtual tour!! I know it’s a pity that we’re not going on our real school tour, but at least there’s no queue for the toilets. 😉
I would suggest exploring the virtual tours on Tuesday and then try out the drama/art activities on Wednesday. 😁🎨🎭
