In Science, we finally completed our engineering prototypes for the STEPS project. We submitted our plans and evaluations by post, along with photographs of our creations. We think that they look great.
In Geography, we enjoyed presenting our Great Britain projects with the whole class. First we shared what we found interesting, what surprised us and what we’d like to find out more about. Then we opened our favourite page of our own project, and did a gallery walk so we could admire each other’s beautiful work. We also reflected on our project work with a self assessment, considering what we’d done well, and what we might do differently for our next project.
In History, we compared and contrasted two versions of The Salmon of Knowledge. One was written in ‘Small World – History’ and the other was a video by Candlelit Tales. We created Venn diagrams to illustrate the differences and similarities we found.
Our classroom looked so festive with our wonderful artistic creations. Our snowmen (snowpeople?) were TOTES amaze!
We created wonderful wreaths.
We were sad to say goodbye to our lovely friend, Lynette, who emigrated to Australia. We filled her last day in Room 9 with fun, and even had a Pyjama Day in her honour!
We worked together to create a beautiful Carol Service with the whole school in St Gabriel’s church. We were so delighted and proud to have so many family members and friends come to see and hear us. Well done to Elsa Hughes for reading so beautifully in front of the entire church.
We loved sharing our Rainbow Moments of 3rd Class so far during our SPHE lessons.
