We’d another marvellous month of learning in Room 9. In Maths, we used mirrors to investigate Symmetry.

We love using Skip Counting and concrete materials (cubes) to learn about Multiplication.

We love asking and answering question in Irish in our Ciorcal Gaeilge. Bog siar! Bog siar!

We were so excited to try out the new climbing walls in the yard.

During Climate Action Week, we made a special effort to walk, scoot and cycle to work. We worked in groups to create these fabulous games using recyclable materials.

Then we had even more fun by teaching the class how to use our game.

With Hallowe’en approaching, we listened to these cool songs to learn about the Skeleton in our Science lesson:

We created a video, All About Teeth, for the Reel Life Science video competition. Carla’s Dad was so generous with his time. He filmed and edited it for us. Have you watched it yet?

We had so much fun during our school’s Maths Week. Every morning we worked to solve The Problem of the Day. We did Tables Buddies with Rang a Sé, who taught us cool card games. We played online Maths games. We used our imaginations, creativity and artistic skills to produce a wonderful Maths Door, and were the 3rd Class stream winners!

Congratulations to Emma Ring, our Mathematician of the Maths Week, and Elsa Sheehan, who represented our class in the 3rd Class Tables Champ competition.

We went on a nature walk to study Sycamore and Ash trees in our area.

We were inspired by Dia de los Meurtos to create beautiful Art.

We were so proud to cheer on our school’s Gaelic football team at Cumann na mBunscoil in Croke Park. They played with skill and determination, and won!

We looked super spooky, dressed up for our Hallowe’en Sponsored Walk.
