We celebrated Friendship Week in Belgrove Senior Girls’ School from the 25th-29th of September. Friendship Week encourages students to build strong, supportive relationships with their peers and fosters a sense of belonging and inclusion, all while having lots of fun!

The week was jam packed full of activities. There were cooperative games in PE, collaborative Art activities and a poster competition. 6th classes did a fantastic job at teaching 4th Classes how to make friendship bracelets and the older students taught the younger students the school song.

The students enjoyed taking part in the ‘Secret Friend’ and ‘Random Act of Kindness’ challenges, spreading kindness throughout the school and beyond.

Doireann and Treacy built a beautiful Friendship Tree in the corridor. Each student has their own leaf on the tree, describing the strengths that they look for in a friend.

The week ended with a Crazy Hair Day (Hair’s to Being a Good Friend) and a school assembly, where Second Class students sang ‘Circle of Friends’ for the entire school. It really was a fantastic week for all involved.
