We had another busy month of learning and having fun in Room 9.
In SPHE, we discussed our character strengths, and then created this lovely display.
Lots of girls displayed their determination, and completed their Art texture pictures, begun in September.
In our Irish lessons, reading as Gaeilge is a new challenge for everyone in 3rd Class. The whole class has show great progress and increased confidence, using their Funky Fuaimeanna page. Putting the stories into dramas is a great favourite in Room 9.
To help us to describe the books we are reading in DEAR diary, we have these awesome new bookmarks.
In Science, we did our very first solo project of 3rd Class. These wonderful tree projects are bursting with information and creativity. Each girl presented her project to the class, and reflected on her learning by completing a self assessment.
With Hallowe’en approaching, we listened to these cool songs to learn about the Skeleton in our Science lesson:
We used chalk pastels to produce these fabulous skeleton pictures. We also integrated Maths with our Art lesson, and created Spooky Symmetrical Shapes.
We worked together to create this fantastic Maths door for Maths Week 2021. We collaborated to create word problems, then drew a diagram on our whiteboards to demonstrate how you might figure out the answer. We have lots of languages in Room 9, and were proud to include them in our display. Well done to Sophie, who was our class’s Queen of the Tables!
We enjoyed our Hallowe’en Sponsored Walk around Clontarf, and were delighted to meet some parents along the route. We hope you weren’t too scared by our spooktacular costumes!
