Glór na bPáistí, our student Council ran a song competition for all of the students of Belgrove Senior Girls’ School. Students were asked to come up with a school ‘anthem’ that could be sung at assemblies or for visitors to the school. The song was to highlight all of the great things about Belgrove Senior Girls’ School.

There were lots of fantastic entries for the song competition. A winning entry was picked from each class. Next, the winning song from each class battled it out with the other entries from their stream to find a stream winner. Finally, the stream winners performed in the yard in front of the whole school. Each class voted and a winner was chosen. The winning song was written and performed by girls from Ms. Moore’s 6th Class. Maith sibh cailíní!

It was amazing to listen to all of the songs and the school is so lucky to have so much talent amongst the students.

The winning performance!
