Welcome to third class!

To get you back into the swing of working hard, you are being asked to do a small project based on the author, Roald Dahl.  September 13th is the official Roald Dahl Day, and, as we are reading ‘The Twits’ this year, it’s a good time to take on this project. It is due to be handed up on Tuesday, 30th September.  Your project should be completed in either your scrap book or as a poster. If it is in the scrapbook, it should cover around two pages. You are allowed to print pictures (although hand drawn pictures are very nice and very impressive), but all your writing should be your own and not typed. Remember that when you are writing, use your own words and try not to copy from books or websites.

The library is a fantastic place to do your research and there are good libraries locally. If you are going to use the Internet to help you, there are some websites listed below, but please, remember to ask the grown up in charge to help you. If you are using the Internet, don’t click on any adverts or move onto a new page without asking first.  When you are finished, I would like you to include a bibliography. A bibliography is a list of where you got your information from. For example, if I used information that I read in a book, I would list the name of that book and the author (if I know it). I hope you have great fun with this project, and I look forward to seeing them all!!

Parents / Guardians

Welcome to your first project of Third Class! I have put together a short list of websites that may be useful to your daughter when researching Roald Dahl.  While I have checked through these sites for suitability, I would still ask that you supervise your daughter as I am sure you are aware some sites come with links that may not be appropriate. Please make sure that your daughter is monitored carefully while using the Internet to ensure her safety and to make her learning experience a valuable and enjoyable one. Best of luck!!
