On Thursday 5th March we celebrated World Book Day in school.  The theme was SHARE A STORY – spreading the word about the importance of sharing stories with children for just 10 minutes every day can make a crucial difference – can create readers for life. I hope the girls shared some stories with you and continue to do so!

The girls all dressed up as a character from one of their favourite books. Each girl wrote a book review on one of her favourite books. The standard of the book reviews was very high and Mrs McCarthy found it extremely difficult to pick just one winner.

Congratulations to Róisin O’Sullivan, this year’s winner for her review on “The House on Hawthorn Road” by Megan Wynne.
