More than 5550,000 Irish children are taught in large classes in under-funded primary school. We are asking people to stand up for primary education by asking TD’s to
- Reduce class sizes to the EU average (starting now and fully achieved by 2021)
- Irish classes have an average of 25 compared to an EU average of 21 per class
- Fund primary schools the same as second-level schools
- Primary 92c per day per pupil to cover running costs of the school
- Secondary €1.77 per day per pupil to cover running costs of the school
