The girls carried out an investigation to find out which type of tissue absorbs the most water. Here are their results:
They then designed and created waterproof jackets for “Micí an Moncaí” using mostly recycled materials. Micí tried on all of the wonderful creations and we even carried out a splash test to check the quality of their designs. Needless to say, our monkey will be well prepared for the next shower!
A special thank you to Denise, Jazz’s mum, who came into school for science week to carry out an experiment on electricity with us. The girls made circuits with LED bulbs and buzzers. They found that the pink playdough was a conductor of electricity, allowing the bulbs to light up.
The girls really enjoyed the activity.
Go raibh maith agat, Denise!
Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí!
