Last Week of School Activities | St. Michael's School

Hi Girls!

Can you believe it is the end of the school year already?! The last few weeks flew by. You have all been working so hard and I’m really proud of you all.

We have included some fun end of year activities for this weeks home learning- a summer bucket list, a talent show, some virtual schools tours and a few other activities. I think you’ll enjoy our final week!

Be sure to keep an eye on Seesaw during the week for an end of year message from me. I hope you all have an amazing last week of 4th class.

Home Learning 15th of June- 19th of June

Hi girls!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! This week is a little different to our usual home learning. On Tuesday and Wednesday, you will have independent work and not be uploading to Seesaw.

I included lots of fun virtual schools tours to have a look at this week. They will be up on Seesaw each day! We also included an art competition. It might be a good idea to do this on Tuesday or Wednesday as you will have less work those days.

I hope you all have a great week girls! I can’t wait to hear from you all on Seesaw!

Home Learning 2nd of June- 5th of June

Hi girls!

I hope you all had a great bank holiday weekend and enjoyed the lovely weather. This week, we only have three days of school work as yesterday was the bank holiday and this Friday is sports day! There will also be no mental maths or spellings this week.

This week we are continuing to work on our Brazil projects. You can include different topics that aren’t included on the list like famous people/sports etc. 6/7 pages is loads to complete on your project. It is so important that you understand everything you write down.

New Novel: 📖 I have included a new story for reading this week. I will put the link on Seesaw so that you can access it at the click of a button! It is called the Ickabog, https://www.theickabog.com/read-the-story/ , and it is written by JK Rowling. We will be reading 2 chapters each day and if you would like you can illustrate the story as you go and get involved in her amazing competition! 🎨(see more information on the website above/ the weekly work).

I am attaching a folder full of ideas for sports day on Friday. There is a sheet with 10 different activities. You can decide yourself which you would like to do, or get creative and come up with your own ideas. I’ve also included a scoreboard, medals and certificates, if you want, you could get the whole family involved! You can send in some photos to Seesaw to keep me posted on what fun activities you do!

I hope you all have a lovely week!

Home Learning- May 25th- May 29th

Hi girls!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend! I am so impressed with all of your work on seesaw. You are doing a fabulous job.

This week we are starting a new SESE project all about Brazil! It is to be completed over a number of weeks. I would like you to spend this week researching the topic and I am adding in some powerpoint presentations and websites on the blog here to help you familiarise yourself with this topic.

Remember start each day afresh and focus on that days work please. Prioritise your English, Irish and Maths work first. Seesaw activities can be answered on the app and shouldn’t take too long. They can help you develop your typing skills and have a break from all the handwriting.

I hope you all have a lovely week! I’m so proud of all your hard work.

11/5/20- 15/5/20 Home Learning

Hi girls!

I hope you all had a lovely weekend.

I have attached this week’s home learning below. Remember, if you have any problems at all you can contact me each day on Seesaw! On the weekly plan, I have highlighted things that I would love to see on Seesaw. Hopefully that makes it clear for you. I love seeing all your hard work!

I suggest you attempt as much of the English, Gaeilge and Maths work that you can. After that, I have given lots of suggestions and ideas for our other subjects. All you can do is your best- Déan do dhícheall!

We are starting a new SESE project this week all about St. Anne’s. I am attaching all the resources you need for it that I have mentioned in the weekly plan. These will also be on Seesaw tomorrow. Also remember, you don’t need to print them! You can copy the templates onto an A4 sheet of paper or into your SESE copy if that is easier. Whatever works best for you!

I hope you all have a great week!

Ms. Moore.
