We have just recently started the highly anticipated multiplication tables in school this week. Our skip counting is pretty good so we’re doing pretty well!
Sing along to these songs and rhymes for our multiples of 8’s. Then test your speed with them too!
Can you win the multiples race against the aliens?
Can you beat Jack in an 8’s mulitples test?
We can count by our 8’s with no trouble!
Good luck! 🙂
We had amazing fun experimenting with Light as part of Science Week!
We investigated what objects can and cannot be seen in the dark in groups.
We explored different uses of mirrors in pairs.
We experimented with refraction and the bending of light in pairs.
We observed the different objects that light is able to fully go through (transparent), can partially go through (translucent) and can’t go through it at all (opaque) in pairs.
The girls are going to create a United Kingdom project as part of their SESE work for the next two weeks (due Fri 22nd Nov).
The girls are to find information about the following headings and write 3 facts about the headings in their OWN WORDS on a max TWO scrapbook pages.
The headings are as follows;
We had a great Maths week in Room 4 last week!
We did a 2D maths trail around the school while also looking for some tessellating shapes and had loads of fun doing so
We participated in a 3rd class Tables competition where Anna, Phoebe, Lucy H and Cara represented our class in the final and sure wasn’t it fantastic that the winner was our very own Lucy Hodnett!
We finished off a brilliant Maths week by decorating our class door with a Maths theme and having a Whole School Maths assembly with Maths raps and songs.
Let’s keep the girls practising those mad maths skills at home with these cool interactive games.
Mol an óige agus tiocfaidh sí!
