I hope you had a lovely weekend! It was great to see everyone together again on Friday! I’m looking forward to seeing you again this coming Friday, for our graduation practice. This time we will practise singing our two songs, and saying the’ Ár n-Athair’. Make sure you practise singing/speaking out to ensure it sounds good.
Below are this week’s sheets. You will have school work as usual Monday and Thursday. Tuesday is an art day – I have included three activities for you to do that day. Mrs McCarthy would like you to make a ‘Get Well’ or ‘Thinking of You’ card, to cheer up a patient in Clontarf Hospital. There is also a ‘Wild postcard’ competition, where you create an artwork, depicting something of Ireland’s biodiversity, either a single animal or plant, or an entire habitat or landscape (look at your beautiful pictures above). I think you will all enjoy creating your own ‘Belgrove Memory Wheel’ where you can draw your favourite memories from each year you spent in school.
On Wednesday, you will have the opportunity to take part in a (one or more!) virtual school tour. I know it won’t be the same as our typical school tour, but I’ve tried to include tours that are interactive and fun! (I’d love to do the Natural History Museum tour myself!) Some tours have activity sheets included if you would like to do those!
This is our last full week in 6th class! Try your best to get English, Maths and Gaeilge done on Monday and Thursday. I will have some video tutorials up to help with the revision. If there’s anything you would like me to go over with you let me know and I will make additional videos. I hope you take the time to relax away from the computer/phone screen as well. Read, exercise, chat with friends, tend to your sourdough cultures!
Keep sending me your wonderful work, and well done girls, you are great!
Finally, the documents go in this order:
- Belgrove Wheel
- Wild Postcard and Trees
- Virtual School Tour suggestions
- Natural History Museum activity sheets
- Dublin Zoo – Rainforest Rangers activity sheets
I look forward to working with you throughout the week and I’ll see you again on Friday!
